Registration for the WCPT Congress 2019 is now open - register before 31st October to benefit from the Super Early Bird rate Don't miss this unique opportunity to attend the profession's largest international congress.

Deadline for abstract submission approaches
There are less than eight weeks before the submission deadline for the call for abstracts on 6th September.

Now is the time to start preparing your abstract - get ready to present your research or showcase an innovative service, practice, resource or theory. This is your opportunity to present to a global audience at the profession’s largest international congress. WCPT encourages physical therapists from all over the world, at every level of the profession, to submit their abstracts.

Abstracts are invited that:
  • report on the latest research with original scientific data
  • address new and unique developments in practice, theory, education, management, policy and resources
  • describe innovative ways in which established methods have been adapted to meet the changing needs of practice

Clinical visits
Are you registering to attend the whole congress? If so, why not make the most of your registration and add a clinical visit - a unique opportunity to see how physical therapy is practised in Switzerland.
 
physioswiss has arranged clinical visits for congress delegates to a range of public and private physical therapy facilities, across a wide area of interests. Most clinical visits will be supported in English and French and some will offer additional language support.

Congress programme starts to build
View the networking sessions and see the list of pre- and post-congress courses which have been recently added to the congress website:
  • Networking sessions address topical issues, challenges and opportunities offering an informal opportunity to meet and talk with colleagues in a particular field of interest. www.wcpt.org/wcpt2019/programme/nws

Bursary programme   Call for abstract reviewers
WCPT will be launching a bursary programme to support individual physical therapists from member organisations in low and lower middle-income countries to attend the WCPT Congress.
 
Details on how to donate or apply for a bursary will be available in August.
 
 
Do you have experience in reviewing abstracts or journal articles? The Congress Programme Committee is now recruiting potential reviewers of abstracts submitted for presentation at congress.

Closing date for applications: 23rd August 2018

 
Please note that you will need to be available to review abstracts between 24th September and 12th October 2018.
Party night
Complete your congress experience and add a party night event to your congress registration. You can choose from two options: a three-course Swiss dinner at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (EUR 105) or drinks and canapés at the Brasserie des Halles de l'Île (EUR 50).
