WCPT launches World Physical Therapy Day toolkit
WCPT has launched the toolkit for World Physical Therapy Day 2017. The theme is "Physical activity for life", with all-new infographics, poster, postcards and booklets available now.

This year's toolkit emphasises the role of physical therapists in keeping people moving through advice and exercise programmes, and how they support people of all ages to achieve activity goals.

WCPT has updated its policy statements and resources for raising standards and advocacy initiatives to reflect the changes made at the last general meeting.

RehabNepal aims to improve access to physical therapy
A new project led by Dr Patricia Sullivan is aiming to improve access to physical therapy in Nepal. RehabNepal is currently increasing access to a rehab unit at Dhulikhel Hospital, and at six of the hospital’s rural clinics.

In an online presentation, Dr Sullivan presents the work she has done to help people with physical impairments and to provide advanced training for Nepalese physical therapists.

The deadline to register in advance for the WCPT Congress in Cape Town is just a few hours away, at 24:00 GMT on 31st May 2017. Don’t miss the chance to attend the profession’s largest international event.

Congress Indaba calls for your contributions
A new meeting and inspiration zone at the WCPT Congress in Cape Town will facilitate networking and information sharing. The Indaba creates the chance for informal discussions and exchanges.

Registered delegates are invited to submit ideas for sessions they would like to present by Friday 2nd June. Successful delegates will be notified by Friday 9th June.

IFOMPT publishes latest manual therapy research review
The International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists, representing neuro-msk therapists worldwide, have published their latest Research Review.

This edition includes reviews of papers on lumbar manipulation, patients' expectations, and the cost-effectiveness of primary care management.

WCPT-AWP & PTAT Congress 2017
The WCPT-AWP & PTAT Congress offers an opportunity for physical therapists in the Asia Western Pacific Region to present their work, share experiences and enhance collaborations.

The congress is held 27th to 30th June 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the theme 'Moving towards health, longevity, and sustainability'. Online registration is open until 20th June.

The 7th International Conference of Physiotherapy in Psychiatry and Mental Health
Registration is now open for the 7th International Conference of Physiotherapy in Psychiatry and Mental Health, taking place in Reykjavik, Iceland, from 10th to the 12th of April 2018.

The conference aims to increase the knowledge of mental health issues and the connection between mental and physical health among physiotherapists around the world.
