World Physical Therapy Day 2019 materials available in multiple languages The materials for World Physical Therapy Day (WPTD) on 8 September are now available in a number of languages. WCPT has arranged translations of all the materials into French and Spanish - these are now available on the WCPT website. Volunteers have kindly translated, or are translating, some of the materials into a number of languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Serbian, Slovenian. WCPT announces Congress Programme Committee for Dubai in 2021   The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) has announced the members of the Congress Programme Committee (CPC) for WCPT Congress 2021 in Dubai. Chaired by Shane Patman, Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame in Australia, the committee brings extensive and diverse geographical, professional, research, clinical and academic expertise to WCPT’s flagship event. WCPT President Emma Stokes said: ‘We are delighted to confirm the programme committee for the congress in 2021 in Dubai. New WCPT Constitution adopted The new WCPT Constitution has been accepted and published on the Charity Commission website. The Constitution received a unanimous vote of approval at the 19th WCPT General Meeting held in Geneva, 8-9 May 2019. It sets out the rules that govern WCPT, including its membership organisational structure, and operating procedures. This includes the duties and responsibilities of the Executive Board, member organisations, regions, subgroups - as well as the organisation of the General Meeting, which is held every four years. The Constitution may only be amended or repealed by a resolution passed by at least 75% of all votes cast at a General Meeting. Read the WCPT Constitution

WCPT seeks to recruit two consultants for projects in Tajikistan WCPT is looking for two consultants to work on a project in Tajikistan to help develop a physical therapy entry-level curriculum and provide training to existing faculties for the implementation of the curriculum. Digital practice White Paper and survey WCPT and the International Network of Physiotherapy Regulatory Authorities (INPTRA) has established a joint Digital Physical Therapy Practice Task Force to develop a white paper addressing physical therapy practice and regulation in the digital age. This white paper is an initial look at international digital practice and proposes a definition and purpose for digital physical therapy practice while exploring benefits, current limitations, regulatory concerns, guidelines and considerations for educational programs. Chance to take part in paediatric physical therapy survey The International Organization of Physical Therapists in Paediatrics (IOPTP), a recognised WCPT subgroup, is conducting a study with SCOOPPP to document the context and scope of the practices of physical therapists working with children worldwide. This research project aims to identify current and innovative practices in paediatric physical therapy. Questions relate to the context and scope of practices in paediatric physical therapy at your workplace.
