Congress 2021 online on 9 April 2021.

vaccination programmes, and providing rehabilitation for people living
with Long Covid.

Equality, equity, diversity and inclusion addressed |
Several sessions in first day of congress covered the role of equality, equity, diversity and inclusion in global health.
In a World Physiotherapy seminar, Emma Stokes described how the organisation continues to evolve its role in equality, equity, diversity and inclusion
leadership and how it has continued to harness opportunities for unity
and growth within the profession. The session was extremely well
received by participants. One person commented: "I'm appreciating how
thought provoking this session is. It is enlightening and at the same
time challenging in terms of actually practising equality and diversity
in our profession".
A focused symposium on refugee and migrant health
was chaired by Emer McGowan and presented the experiences and
perspectives of physiotherapists who work with displaced populations and
people who are migrant workers. She was joined by speakers Joanne
Kibet, Hernan C Labao, Lori Maria Walton, and Joost Van Wijchen.
The topic of oppression, marginalisation and stigma
was the focus of an insightful and interactive discussion session where
the panel explored examples of these related to obesity, disability,
race, culture, gender disparities and domestic violence. The session was
chaired by Hana Alsobayel and Stacy de Gale, with speakers Susan
Walker, Tracy Blake, and Tine Kovacic joining them.
