NEW briefing paper published: digital practice during COVID-19
The
latest World Physiotherapy COVID-19 briefing paper highlights the
consequences of COVID-19 on physiotherapy digital practice services.
The
paper includes reflections on changes in practice and potential
implications for the future reported by World Physiotherapy member
organisations and individual physiotherapists.
Thirty-four member organisations from all of World Physiotherapy’s five
regions, three subgroups and 148 individual physiotherapists
participated in a survey on the experiences of digital practice arising
from the consequences of COVID-19 in 2020.
The briefing paper includes case studies from physiotherapists in
Australia, Jamaica, Nepal, New Zealand, Uganda, UK, US, and Uruguay. The
studies show the innovation and variability in changes to service
delivery and act as examples for others.
