Poland was the destination for the trip, organised by the Polish Chamber of Physiotherapists (KIF), and Jonathon Kruger, World Physiotherapy chief executive officer, met representatives of KIF and other physiotherapy organisations, academics, and students. Find out more about the business trip to meet with KiF World Physiotherapy joins WHO's call for action to protect health care workers around the globe World Physiotherapy, as part of the World Health Professions Alliance (WHPA), has joined WHO’s call for concrete action to better protect health and care workers, including physiotherapists, worldwide from COVID-19 and other health issues.  In a joint statement issued last week, WHO and its partners are calling on all member state governments and stakeholders to strengthen the monitoring and reporting of COVID-19 infections, ill-health and deaths among health and care workers. WHO invites RfP to inform guidelines on low back pain WHO's Ageing and Health Unit has published a Request for Proposals (RfP) for evidence reviews to inform WHO guidelines on low back pain.                                                                                                                                     The purpose of the RfP is to identify a suitable contractor to supply contemporary, systematically-derived evidence syntheses of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) for nine interventions identified for the guideline, including pre-specified sub population analyses for age, gender and sex, prevalent radicular leg pain, race/ethnicity and regional economic development, presented in a manner consistent with the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) Evidence Profile method.   Terms of reference and bidding instructions Deadline: 8 November 2021 Find out more about the Request for Proposals on low back pain WHO publishes report on physical activity for more active people WHO has published a report calling for stronger multisectoral action to promote and enable more physical activity through provision of supportive environments, accessible programmes and sustained communication campaigns in all communities.     The report, Fair Play: Building a strong physical activity system for more active people, provides global guidance on priority actions and is suitable for use by advocates, government and non-government organisations.
