A data collection project by WCPT has provided evidence of
the stark variations in numbers of physical therapists across the world,
with some countries having 1000 times more physical therapists
available for their population than others.

continuing education opportunities for physical therapists around the
world. When fully established, the service will approve continuing
education activities which meet internationally agreed standards.

Norwegian association resists plans to make manual therapy a separate profession
|
|
The Norwegian Physiotherapist Association is resisting
government moves to classify manual/manipulative therapy as a separate
profession. WCPT, its European region and its subgroup the International
Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT)
have joined with the association in officially objecting to the plan.
