O Fórum da Clínica Escola de Fisioterapia da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco realizou no dia 25 de março a oitava edição do evento, comemorando na Concha Acústica do Campus os 60 Anos do Curso de Fisioterapia.

Março 2022 Texto original em inglês    Physiotherapists and partners provide humanitarian support in Ukraine  World Physiotherapy is working with international non-government organisations (INGOs) to coordinate efforts in support of the physiotherapy profession and rehabilitation in Ukraine and neighbouring countries/territories. We are doing this in collaboration with our member organisations to ensure that any response is needs-led. World Physiotherapy has been in contact with the Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapy, our member organisation in Ukraine.  With the World Health Organization rehabilitation in emergencies team, Humanity & Inclusion, ICRC, AO Foundation, Momentum Wheels for Humanity, and Physiopedia, we are collaborating to collate and prioritise resources and support translations. World Physiotherapy has issued a joint statement on coordinating rehabilitation and assistive technology in emergency and humanitarian situations. The statement has been produced in collaboration with the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP), the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS), the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM), the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).  Warning: scams Please be aware that the situation in Ukraine has created a new wave of scams and phishing activities. In a joint letter with the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT), World Physiotherapy  has written to Gerty Lund, NFF president, expressing concern the proposed scheme would create a pathway to a different profession through the physiotherapy profession. Call for focused symposia is open! The call for focused symposia for World Physiotherapy Congress 2023 is now open. This is your opportunity to be involved in one of the key sessions at congress, 2-4 June 2023. The 60-minute sessions include high profile speakers, draw large audiences, and aim to create insightful and engaging learning experiences that ultimately inform, inspire, involve and empower delegates. Novo local anunciado para o Congresso Mundial de Fisioterapia em 2023

 

February 2022     Novo local anunciado para  o congresso em 2023    O Conselho Mundial de Fisioterapia tomou a difícil decisão de mudar o local do congresso em 2023. O congresso acontecerá agora em Dubai, Emirados Árabes Unidos (EAU), de 2 a 4 de junho de 2023.    A decisão segue uma análise cuidadosa e discussões com a Associação Japonesa de Fisioterapia e as principais partes interessadas no Japão, e a Sociedade de Fisioterapia dos Emirados Árabes Unidos e as principais partes interessadas nos Emirados Árabes Unidos.    O Conselho acredita que a mudança de local oferecerá a melhor oportunidade para realizar um evento presencial em 2023. Dubai permanece aberta a visitantes internacionais desde julho de 2020 e sediou com sucesso eventos internacionais significativos, incluindo a Expo 2020. O Japão permanece fechado para visitantes internacionais e é improvável que qualquer visita ao local seja possível antes de maio de 2022.     A World Physiotherapy está comprometida em realizar um congresso presencial em 2023, após um intervalo de quatro anos desde que a profissão global de fisioterapia conseguiu se reunir em Genebra em 2019

New location announced for congress in 2023 The World Physiotherapy board has taken the difficult decision to change the location for congress in 2023. The congress will now take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), 2-4 June 2023. The decision follows careful consideration and discussions with the Japanese Physical Therapy Association and key stakeholders in Japan, and the Emirates Physiotherapy Society and key stakeholders in UAE. The board believes the change of location will offer the best opportunity to hold an in-person event in 2023. Dubai has remained open to international visitors since July 2020 and has successfully hosted significant international events, including Expo 2020. Japan remains closed to international visitors and it is unlikely any site visits would be possible before May 2022. World Physiotherapy is committed to delivering an in-person congress in 2023, following a gap of four years since the global physiotherapy profession was able to come together in Geneva in 2019.  Find out more about the new location for World Physiotherapy Congress 2023

100 objetos da Fisioterapia

 "A Fisioterapia é uma profissão sinônimo de mãos, porém há muitos equipamentos que também usamos. O projeto 100 Objetos da Fisioterapia visa contar uma história da profissão através das ferramentas que utilizou ao longo de sua história. Alguns dos objetos que escolhemos são icônicos, outros são idiossincráticos, mas todos contam histórias sobre fisioterapia desde suas primeiras interações até hoje.

A Fase 1 do projeto identificou os 100 objetos para a exposição e a Fase 2, recém-concluída, fornece uma explicação escrita para cada um dos 100 objetos. O texto foi escrito por membros voluntários da Associação Internacional de História da Fisioterapia e cada um fornece uma história fascinante sobre como o objeto surgiu e como o objeto passou a ser usado na fisioterapia."
